Despite its relatively modest TVL compared to the billions held by Raydium, Tessera V is punching above its weight in terms of volume-to-TVL efficiency. In the competitive arena of Solana DEXs, which includes PumpSwap, PancakeSwap AMM V3, and Meteora DLMM, Tessera V has carved out a niche for traders who prioritize execution quality. The protocol’s ability to maintain $13.38 million in TVL while operating as a proprietary system suggests that liquidity providers are comfortable with the trade-offs, provided the returns remain competitive.

However, the rise of proprietary AMMs has sparked a debate within the Solana community. Critics argue that moving toward “dark” pools brings DeFi closer to the opaque systems of traditional finance (TradFi) that blockchain was meant to replace.
